I don't mean what I say!

A:  How are you?

B:  I am fine, thank you, and how about you?

A:  I am fine, too!

You, like me, must have heard this dialogue or been A or B more than a thousand times till now. Each time someone asks me how I am, I say ‘I am fine!’ even if I am suffering from severe stomach-ache and need medication. Why? I don’t want to show my pain to others? Oh come on…it’s not that sublime…I am not a saint! Am I merely following manners…. a mere formality? Probably yes and don’t know why! Am I trying to avoid any further questions? Quite possible! Don’t I mean what I say?  That is the point! I don’t mean what I say!

Antithesis?

I am born to lead!

I am born to succeed!

I am a POET!

I work as a translator both for God and for you!

That’s right…

I am a poet!

I am Responsible!

I am responsible for what I say....
And somewhere I am also responsible for what you understand!

Yes, life is a mere formality for me
